5 Books That Will Give You Summer Feels

Hello, my sunflowers and snowflakes!
Today’s post will be my favorite top five books that make me have all the summery feels and hopefully you’ll find that too. I plan to do this as a series and just update it with books I read (IE: if I read a new book this year that gives me summer feels, you might see it on next years list!)

Without further ado!

5: Paper Towns by John Green
Starting off with a novel that was not quite my favorite (though I’m not sure if I just didn’t enjoy it or the situation I was dealing with when I was reading it clouded my judgment?) but I would still recommend for a good summer read, especially if you’re going on a road trip with family or friends. Rating: 3/5 stars
Favorite quote: “You have to get lost before you can find yourself.”

4: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
This gives me vibes of 1920’s summer night at a joint with loud music and singing ladies and sweat and such a warm atmosphere. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves the roaring 20’s, but especially ones who’ll be going to summer parties and hanging out with friends for the summer.
Rating: 5/5 stars
Favorite Quote: “Angry, and half in love with her, and tremendously sorry, I turned away.” (a straight-up MOOD)

3: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
Can I just say that this book surprised me? I honestly don’t know what I was expecting going into this book but IT WAS NOT THAT. Perfect for if you’re spending the summer with your family (whether by choice…) and they are starting to get on your nerves 😉
Rating: 4/5 stars
Favorite quote: “Do not accept an evil you can change.”

2: Ramona Blue by Julie Murphy
This is yet another book I put off and SUPER REGRET PUTTING OFF. Ramona is such a relatable character (speaking as someone from the south) and is positively perfect for those stuck where it’s hot and not really having the best of summers? (This kind-hearted book is for y’all)
Rating: 4.5/5 stars
Favorite quote: “The idea that I’m someone’s best friend fills my rib cage with summer.”

1: Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

What are the words to describe this book? This is…this is. This book…
Okay, I listened to the audiobook of this and fell more in love because Lin-Manuel Miranda did the narrating so I uwued the whole thing.
Rating: 5/5 stars
Favorite quote: “The summer sun was not meant for boys like me. Boys like me belonged to the rain.”

Anyways, guys, I hope you enjoyed this article and let me know in the comments some of your favorite summer reads are!
