The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik Blog Tour/ Review

Hi, Hello!

I was invited to do a review and aesthetic board for this book!
Unfortunately, because of school, I was SUPER BEHIND ON THIS and didn’t get to finish the book and I’m so upset about that. However, I will share my thoughts on the book so far and my aesthetic board for it (no spoilers!!)

So first, my aesthetic board:

When I created this, I was thinking of how to do it without spoilers (and I hope I succeeded) Considering I’ve never made one before, I’d say it turned out REALLY WELL. It’s really trippy, so try not to look at it too much.

Now for my partial review:

The first chapter is really interesting and it’s nice that we get a glimpse of Noah as a person before we get into his story. I don’t see that in a lot of books, but I really liked it. Then we start getting details about his best friend and well… his best friend is really cool (NO SPOILERS). I get some Ferris Bueller vibes from this book as well, though, I’m not sure it will stay like that for the rest of the book.

Title: The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik by David Arnold

“I think my appetite for life exceeds that of a normal human, like I’m about to run out, so I’d better live it all, feel it all, do it all now before it’s gone.”

Now for my full review: (caution, SPOILERS)

A concise history of me part 1

Noah Oakman was born on January 8 and is currently sixteen years old.
Charlie Smith was born on January 8 and is currently sixteen years old.

Noah Oakman has a love of David Bowie
Charlie Smith has a love of David Bowie

Noah Oakman’s favorite Bowie song is Changes.
Charlie Smith’s favorite Bowie song is Changes.

Noah Oakman is a hermit

Noah Oakman loves books
Charlie Smith loves books

So either Noah and I are soulmates or the same person. I finished the book and I’m still pretty sure I can’t answer that.

First off, this book was wild. And when I say wild, I mean WILD.
We have a teenage boy who just wants to hang out with his friends and watch Netflix all day, but who is hypnotized and starts seeing Strange Fascinations and he can’t explain them. So he begins investigating, ONLY TO FIND OUT HE WAS NEVER HYPNOTIZED (i know, WILD)

THEN THIS GUY CIRCUIT IS JUST- I CANNOT EVEN. HOW HE USED NOAH FOR AN EXPERIMENT AND 3 MONTHS WAS RIPPED FROM HIM INTO 6 HOURS. LIKE WHAT THE HECK. AHHHHH, THIS BOOK THOUGH, MY GOD I LOVED IT.

I gave this book 5/5 stars.
